I’d like everyone reading this to note the number of times the word “riffs” appears in the reviews; it gives a good indication of what to expect here, though it’s not the only notable thing about this album. The production, somehow clean and yet perfectly murked up at the same time, is spot on, and the anti-paint-by-numbers approach to song craft helps keep everything fresh and unpredictable, especially for such a heavy record. Super high-quality disso death, not to be missed! MJ
